The 35th European Junior Swimming Championships will be held in Belgrade, from July 30, until August 3, 2008. The venue of the Championships is the swimming pool of the Sports Center “Tašmajdan” in Belgrade, 71, Belgrade St.

Some 650 athletes from over 48 European countries will take part in this event. Among these selected athletes that Belgrade spectators will be able to see and follow, we expect junior swimmers as well, the ones that will be participating in the Olympic Games in Beijing, only one week following this competition.

This is a unique opportunity for the spectators of Belgrade and Serbia to see such high quality athletes, especially as “Tašmajdan” will be venue of another great event the next year, Swimming Competition of the Universiade 2009.

This swimming pool has a long history as in 1973 the first World Swimming Championships was held here. The Swimming Federation of Serbia has the honour to welcome the best European junior swimmers in this jubilee year and prove that after so many years and so many happenings in this country, we still deserve the renome of good and caring hosts.

The Swimming Federation of Serbia will do its utmost in the period to come, to keep with the highest European level and welcome all members of teams and representatives of media.

All media representatives wishing to apply for accreditation should announce their arrival through preliminary entries and present themselves to the Organizing Committee of the Championships.

Deadline for applying the preliminary entries is June 26, 2008.
Following the preliminary entries, it is necessary to send the following before July 22, 2008:

The Organizing Committee shall try to provide access to the Championships to all media representatives who apply. However, the OC shall maintain the right to prioritize and select media representatives in case the number of entries is greater than the planned capacities.
